Our boys Teddy & Harry (pictured above) are such a major part of our family why would we leave them behind when we go on holiday?

Porthyraur is a perfectly positioned base for exploring with the Llyn Peninsula, Eryri (Snowdonia),  Anglesey, Caernrfon Bay, Cardigan Bay, the Menai Strait and the Northern Coat of Wales all being within driving distance.

We have found North Wales to be a very dog friendly area with dogs being welcomed rather than tolerated. 

Dogs are welcome on public transport, both on trains and buses, making it even easier to explore the local area an leave the car behind!

 Criccieth itself is a great place for dogs (if ours could talk they would tell you how much they love it).

We welcome up to 2 well behaved dogs at no cost as a perk for booking direct. 

North Wales in generally dog friendly with dogs being free of charge on buses and welcome at many eating places and tourist attractions.

 We have 2 secure garden areas, one for the cottage and one for the studio so any dogs visiting will have their own separate spaces!

There are dog bowls for guests use that can be found in the utility cupboards or kitchen.

Dog crates are also available if needed (in under stairs cupboard). We also have a mud daddy and doggy shampoo

 out the hut to keep your pooches clean and fresh!

We would prefer dogs not to be left unattended. If they are left and any damage is caused as per our terms and

 conditions, we reserve the right to charge for such damage accordingly. Dogs are not allowed upstairs and if on

 furniture please protect it with your own blankets. Please ensure the garden is kept free from dog mess and we

 would really appreciate it if you could put your dog waste in the local public bins when out and about.

The walk down marine terrace and further on the coast path to the estuary is our favourite!  You can also walk down to Dylan’s and along the coast path all the way to Black Rock Sands!
